About the Hyperbaric Welding Center
Driven by a shared ambition to breathe new life into the training pathway for underwater welders, BC-opleidingen and the Lasinstituut founded the Hyperbaric Welding Center. Combining the expertise of both organisations, we built a thorough, streamlined programme — closing a gap in the Dutch and European range of underwater welding training.
The result is a centre where the diving side and the welding side are both first-class: professional dive training infrastructure and supervision from BC-opleidingen, and welding instruction, assessment and examination authority from the Lasinstituut.

BC-opleidingen — Centrum voor Beroepsduiken
A leading Dutch training centre for professional divers in Enkhuizen: civil diving programmes (A9 through B50), fire-brigade diving, recertification and dive-facility rental. ISO 9001-certified (LRQA) and IMCA member; recognised training institute under the Dutch NDC-RI registration scheme.

Specialist in welding training, qualification and certification. Under the DNV flag, the Lasinstituut is authorised to act independently as assessor and examiner for personnel certification (ISO/IEC 17024) — the authority behind our welder (LK) and welding-method (LMK) qualifications.

In the Netherlands, various subsidy schemes and sector training funds (O&O funds) exist for training in the metal and engineering industries. Whether your company is eligible depends on the collective labour agreement and the fund your company is affiliated with. Ask us when you enquire — we are happy to think along with you.
